BetterRX is a growing software-as-a-service (SaaS) company in the healthcare industry looking for a talented UX Designer to join our Product Team! In this highly impactful role, you will drive the creation of intuitive experiences while performing user research to uncover meaningful insights and problems. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in helping establish UX practices within our organization. Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about putting people at the heart of the product discovery and design process. They will have an extensive toolkit for uncovering latent problems and crafting cohesive, elegant user experiences that not only address these problems but also delight users. This is more than just a design job; it's about understanding and empathizing with the human experience, translating those insights into seamless, beautiful interfaces that align with our product vision. Your deep expertise in Design Thinking will be instrumental in creating products that improve people’s lives and lay the foundation for our UX practices. As our first UX hire, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and defining how we approach and integrate user experience design across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the creation of a user-centric design strategy that aligns with our product vision and company priorities.
Create and refine a Design System that standardizes UI elements across the platform, enhancing consistency and efficiency in design and development workflows.
Consistently produce wireframes, prototypes, and UI mockups that reflect a deep understanding of user and stakeholder needs.
Regularly conduct usability testing sessions to gather actionable insights and make iterative design improvements that enhance the overall user experience.
Work closely with the Head of Product and development team to ensure a high alignment rate through regular sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions.
Champion the value of Design Thinking and user-centric design practices within the organization, ensuring that UX insights and discovery learnings are effectively communicated to all stakeholders.
Skill Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX Design, UX Research, or related roles.
Prior experience in designing SaaS software for B2B customers.
Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy for the user in human-computer interaction design.
Proven track record of aligning UX and usability improvements with overarching business goals.
Experience in conducting UX research that informs product decisions, with tangible examples of how these insights have been applied.
Proficiency in gathering and analyzing the right data to inform the best path forward in design processes.
Experience in developing and maintaining a cohesive design system across products.
Strong skills in wireframe, prototype, and UI design, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
Excellent at articulating and presenting design decisions to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience in healthcare technology and start-up or fast-growth environments.

Ability to work 100% remote
Ability to travel for internal company summits (twice annually) and product summits (4x annually)
