Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating qualified opportunities for the sales team by identifying, engaging, and nurturing prospective hospice customers. This role is critical in fueling BetterRX’s growth engine through proactive outreach, consistent relationship-building, and relentless follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting

Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate new business leads.

Identify key decision makers and influencers (CEOs, Executive Directors, DONs, Medical Directors, Pharmacy Partners, etc.).

Build and maintain a strong top-of-funnel pipeline aligned to monthly quota goals.
Qualification
-
Engage prospects to understand their challenges and qualify interest using defined criteria (need, authority, timing, etc.).

Set high-quality discovery meetings for Account Executives.
Execution & Process Discipline

Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in CRM.

Follow structured cadences and messaging aligned with BetterRX’s GTM strategy.

Track and optimize conversion rates across calls, email sequences, and meeting sets.
Collaboration
-
Provide consistent feedback to marketing and sales leadership on message performance and market trends.

Work closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoff and strong alignment.

Qualifications

1–3 years of SDR or lead generation experience (healthcare experience a plus, but not required).

Sales Account Executive
Reports To: VP of Sales
Location: Remote / USA
Position Type: Full-Time/Regular
Salary: Base $100,000, OTE $200,000
Summary
BetterRX is a growing software-as-a-service (SAAS) healthcare company looking for a Sales Account Executive for our hospice pharmacy services. We are on a mission to end needless suffering caused by medication delays, which directly supports with the mission of hospices to ensure the most comfortable and dignified passing possible for those in who are in their care. In this critical role, you will be responsible for increasing revenue at BetterRX by closing contracts with hospice agencies.

Responsibilities
- Achieve metrics for contracts closed, meetings held, and opportunities generated.
- Successfully execute and lead prospects through the sales process, appropriately utilizing all supporting tools (e.g., agendas, value documents, executive summaries, etc.).
- Facilitate joint calls for prospective customer meetings with appropriate team members, including pre-call meeting and post-call meetings.
- Accurately maintain a record of all prospect-related data and activities in HubSpot.
- Proactively engage the VP of Sales as appropriate to ensure metrics and desired outcomes are achieved.
- Attend conferences as requested by VP of Sales, planning for specific outcomes/ROI beforehand and ensuring outcomes are met.
- Generate new opportunities each month through direct outreach (e.g., to industry contacts, via cold calls, etc.).
- Learn the product at a highly proficient level including understanding of technical specifications, as well as the industry and competitive landscape.
- Uncover and document customer issues and requirements and produce written recommendations to the prospective customer.
- Accurately maintain a record of all prospect-related data and activities in HubSpot.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years relevant sales experience with history of strong performance and results
- Highly capable of managing the full sales cycle including identifying opportunities, qualifying, discovery, needs assessment, negotiating and closing
- Ability to learn the product at a highly proficient level as well as the competitive landscape
- Maintain Better RX Core Values and HIPAA Compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Pharmaceutical sales experience strongly preferred with having consistently met and/or exceeded goals
- Experience with HubSpot preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with HubSpot preferred
- Experience with hospice and/or hospice sales, EMR sales, or DME sales preferred
- Experience with consultative and solution-based selling strongly preferred
- Comfortable with up to 25% travel
- Ability to work remotely
