Our technology connects hospices, prescribers, and pharmacies with effortless medication ordering and tracking—reducing errors, improving efficiency, and elevating the patient and caregiver experience.

Role Overview

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating qualified opportunities for the sales team by identifying, engaging, and nurturing prospective hospice customers. This role is critical in fueling BetterRX’s growth engine through proactive outreach, consistent relationship-building, and relentless follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate new business leads.

  • Identify key decision makers and influencers (CEOs, Executive Directors, DONs, Medical Directors, Pharmacy Partners, etc.).

  • Build and maintain a strong top-of-funnel pipeline aligned to monthly quota goals.

Qualification
  • Engage prospects to understand their challenges and qualify interest using defined criteria (need, authority, timing, etc.).

  • Set high-quality discovery meetings for Account Executives.

Execution & Process Discipline
  • Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in CRM.

  • Follow structured cadences and messaging aligned with BetterRX’s GTM strategy.

  • Track and optimize conversion rates across calls, email sequences, and meeting sets.

Collaboration
  • Provide consistent feedback to marketing and sales leadership on message performance and market trends.

  • Work closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoff and strong alignment.

Performance Metrics
  • Qualified meetings set

  • Conversions from inquiry → SQL

  • Daily/weekly activity volume and quality

  • Pipeline contribution toward revenue goals

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of SDR or lead generation experience (healthcare experience a plus, but not required).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Resilient, competitive, and motivated by measurable goals.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for seamless client onboarding, driving adoption, and building relationships and references across hospice account organizations nationwide. You will work closely with valued clients and internal cross-functional teams across the BetterRX organization. You will be a key contributor in sustaining high client satisfaction, retention, and our reputation for excellence.

Ideal Candidate

You have a gift for clear, concise communication (both written and verbal) and love analyzing data to identify improvement opportunities and achieve goals.

Primary Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary contact and ‘owner’ of 30-40 assigned accounts, responsible for ensuring account health and retention.
    • Support successful onboarding with all new clients within 30-60 days of the signed agreement, including on-site training if needed.
    • Identify and build trusted relationships with decision makers and other key contacts throughout each account’s lifecycle to proactively anticipate changing needs and mitigate retention risk.
    • Prepare and present Quarterly Strategy Reviews with decision makers in-person or remotely to review performance, ensure they have clear understanding of BetterRX value , software and benefits, increase software adoption, and follow best practices to improve their existing processes and KPIs.
    • Identify and anticipate risks early and execute mitigation plans timely in partnership with leadership and cross-functional teams
    • Maintain accurate HubSpot data , account plans, health scores, and renewal forecasts
    • Provide Tier 2 support for any inbound client questions or reported issues across all accounts.
    • Support the Director of Client Success with establishing, meeting, and exceeding client metrics.
    • Provide exceptional customer service.

Skill Requirements

    • Energetic, organized, meticulous follow up, excellent communication skills
    • Ability to build lasting relationships with various personality types
    • Strong ability to think critically and probe deep to identify concerns and problem solve
    • Excellent writing skills, comfortable speaking in front of clients (especially C-Suite), easily approachable, strong presentation skills
    • Technical aptitude to simplify and concisely communicate with clients about software capabilities and enhancements
    • Professional and calm in working with difficult or upset clients
    • Self-driven and motivated with a desire to succeed in a fast-paced, changing environment, proficient with MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Other Requirements

    • 3-5 years Client Success or Account Management experience
    • Ability to work 100% remote
    • Up to 40% travel
    • Ability to travel for internal company retreats (twice annually)
    • BS Degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Maintain and prioritize the development backlog, ensuring 2–3 sprints of ready work.
  • Own story and defect prioritization within the development backlog in alignment with Product Manager direction.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily standups, backlog refinement, and sprint demonstrations.
  • Serve as the first point of clarification for developers during sprints, escalating strategic questions to Product Managers.
  • Collaborate closely with UX, QA, and engineering leads to ensure stories include specifications, diagrams, and testing considerations.
  • Identify missing requirements and proactively follow up to prevent development blockers.
  • Lead internal issue triage discussions and route feedback and product issues into prioritization channels.
  • Ensure product requirements and supporting documentation are complete, structured, and accessible to the development team
  • Leverage AI-assisted workflows to help expand requirements, validate acceptance criteria, and identify non-functional requirements.

Skill Requirements
