Our founder, Jared Stong, PharmD, learned first-hand about the misery caused by medication delays when he watched his father-in-law endure the last stages of lung cancer. Several times, Jared’s father-in-law experienced excruciating pain when his medication ran out and his frantic nurses spent hours on the phone ordering prescriptions and tracking down delayed deliveries. His family could only surround his bedside and watch as he suffered. Jared’s father-in-law died in extreme pain. What could have been a peaceful passing became a traumatic experience for Jared’s entire family.

As a pharmacist and a technology enthusiast, Jared believed that there could be a better way. He envisioned a streamlined pharmacy experience for hospice where patients wouldn’t have to suffer, and then he created a technology solution that would help end needless suffering caused by medication delays.
