Sales Development Team Lead

Location: In-Person: TBD  Austin, TX / Raleigh, NC / Lehi, UT
Department: Sales

Salary: $65,000 + Commission = OTE $130,000

The Sales Development Team Lead leads and develops BetterRX’s SDR team, ensuring consistent pipeline generation for the revenue organization. This leader will build a high-performance outbound engine, optimize messaging and workflows, coach SDRs to success, and partner closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to continually expand BetterRX’s footprint in the hospice market.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Coaching

  • Recruit, train, and coach SDRs to exceed activity, meeting, and pipeline targets.
  • Conduct regular call coaching, performance reviews, and individual development plans.
  • Create a positive, accountable, high-energy culture.

Process & Performance Management

  • Own SDR metrics, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
  • Build and refine outbound cadences, scripts, and messaging.
  • Manage daily activity expectations and ensure consistency across the team.
  • Optimize territory assignments, prospecting lists, and workflows.

Pipeline Generation

  • Ensure predictable delivery of qualified meetings and pipeline for AEs.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to forecast pipeline needs and capacity.

Alignment With Marketing & Sales

  • Work with marketing to convert campaign engagement into outbound efforts.
  • Share feedback on messaging, segments, and persona resonance.
  • Ensure seamless lead handoff and feedback loops with Account Executives.

Strategic Contribution

  • Identify new outreach strategies, channels, and market insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement in conversion rates, productivity, and ROI.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of SDR experience with at least 1–2 years in a lead/manager capacity.
  • Proven ability to hire, coach, and scale high-performing SDR teams.
  • Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot), sequencing tools, and sales intelligence platforms.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong operational discipline.
  • Experience in healthcare or SaaS preferred, but not required.
